My wife recently returned from England with her father and his old (our new) car. Because this was one of those rare occasions when there were no weight restrictions on what they could bring back,
the car was packed with hard-to-get goodies that cost an arm and a leg in Spain. Lots of Indian spices and things like jars of Marmite, minced coriander, Robertson's blackcurrant jam (jelly),
Weetabix, Shreddies, Cadbury's dairy milk chocolate plus a Powerpack battery pack and other goodies too numerous to mention.
For me the highlight was a pack of Marstons Pedigree Ale and some mature cheddar cheese....bliss!
Having my first taste of the beer and cheese today made me feel slightly homesick. Not for the UK particularly, as I only too pleased to leave it, but for the "Englishness" of certain things
that remind me of what a lovely country it used to be.
5 day cricket matches
The Cotswold Hills
Indian Restaurants
Live Blues Music and...
not much else.
So, what we need to know is if you have moved away from somewhere you loved, not neccessarily abroad, and there are certain things you can no longer obtain,
or visit, we'd like to know what they are. Post a graphic if you feel inclined, I'm sure we would love to see it.
The attached was all created in Xara Xtreme and was pure vector.
Saludos,
Bob.
