Peter, in this instance it was a html text 'picture' I was wanting to add to an Xtreme or XWD html project.
The character limit was easily exceeded due to all the hex color codes required, though the resulting picture itself is small.

That's my ignorance showing again, I have been doing it a lot lately. Here is me thinking that a picture is a picture and not a character.

No that was quite clever using the old train. I am being nosey again, why not make that into a gif and load it that way. Surely there would be not much difference in rendering speed, that was 168k on that page and I am sure that would be smaller as a gif. I suppose you could use a style sheet to change the colours and fonts and therefore change the total appearance.
