    Default looking for comments

A casual friend planning a web site for his business (mail services) had asked me to put together a card and logotype, which I did. He then approached a neighboor who is said to be a high-end expensive desiger who told him he would do something 'jaw dropping'--attached. Somehow my own jaw failed to drop but now I'm wondering if my 'eye' is just too stupid to appreciate sophisticated design. My friend likes it and so I'm also having doubts about trying to work with him, our ideas being so clearly at odds. But before I say anything to him I thought I'd run this by the forum. Not looking for suggestions so much as just comment. I'm feeling shy about doing a web keyed on this logotype with this other designer kibbitzing on the sidelines.

    Hey...
When are you going to post the 'jaw-dropping' logo ?!?

    Good Luck,

I'm not a designer, but if he were to present a business card to me with that logo on it, I wouldn't say "Wow---great logo!"
If he's doing mail services, I don't gather that from the design.

    Hey Fred,
Good suggestions. Can you post it as jpg? Certainly a big improvement. Thanks.

    Hi Phil,

Yup, you and I both had the same 'draw-dropping' experience. My wife does stuff that is way more professional than that and she's not a designer.

I wish you luck on your possible endevour.

Trust me, Phil, it's not good...not good at all.
Fred's version has certainly pushed the envelope, though.
    Saludos,
    Bob.
