    Default XWD Malformed HTML

Do your find large white space breaks in the HTML code when exporting? This is what I'm finding and I don't know if its me ... or a bug in the program.

    Hi Taccom,

It is very difficult to say without seeing your html.

The attached image show the html created by Web Designer. It is not malformed. There are some areas of white space but that doesn't constitute being malformed.

Do you use code placeholders? If you do, make sure that placeholder code field does not contain multiple traling linebreaks.

Hi Soquili ... any page's source can be seen by doing "View source code" in the browser ... thanks for looking!

    Hi Covoxer

Yes ... Adsense is placed in placeholders but as far as I have seen there were no trailing spaces ... simple copy/paste into the placeholder.

Yes this is common knowledge, however we didn't have your URL at the time Bill posted

Now I do see the large space at your site and know what you are talking about.

I've never seen this with XWD generated HTML.

Can you post your .web file please with all placeholders?

    Hi Sledger

Its got me confused for sure ... but I'm still pretty new to XWD. Attaching the web file for analysis.

Thanks again for the look-see ... and for the protocol heads up in my thread!

    Here's your white space culprit.

Remove it from this placeholder code and it's gone.

Thanks Steve! Wow ... you're good! Sure appreciate you locating the offending code ... I was looking in the content region!

One other question: I understand that additional META tags can be added to the <head> using a placeholder. Is it 1 tag per placeholder or could I put multiple tags in the same one?

    Cheers and thanks again!
