New Object Gallery Show and Tell

Hey all,

I have downloaded the demo for ExtremePro5 and wanted to share some of the new stuff they have added, specifically to the Object Gallery (used to be layer gallery).

Maybe there will be something useful in here - I've tried to create this aimed more towards the folks who want to create web stuff than the graphics people.

What exactly is the difference between WD and Xtreme? Can you do everything you do in WD in xtreme and more? am I on the right lines?

I wouldn't have come up with the moving buttons from layer to layer for popups like that on my own. Or at least not right away.

Ive just downloaded the rial theres no templates really and the WD5 ones wont install in Xtreme. Do you get a decent template selection if you buy?

I think you get all the templates from xara 4 as well as everything in xwd - not sure if there are additional new things or not. You should be able to "get more themes" to get at least the samples loaded in for playing with, at least.

You don't get all the goodies in 5 that you had in 4 and in XWD. I have been trying to get 5 to transfer the Tweaks from XWD as well as many of the missing designs from the design gallery. 4 has some useful clip art that did not come down with 5. There maybe ways of moving this stuff - I am still playing.

Hi Peter,

You will get more designs and clipart when your CD arrives. This was the same with Version 4 as including all the extras via a web download would be too large.

You can add all the tweaks to the design gallery in the same way you added them to Web Designer initially.
Also, you can add the entire Xtreme 4 clipart Gallery to the Xtreme 5 designs gallery by following the same procedure.

• Open the Designs Gallery in X5
• Press the 'Disc Designs' button
• Browse to C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 4\Clipart
• Click 'Add'
