    Info pdf links (again)

Another newb to xara WD. having used netobjects fusion for about 10yrs.

Links to pdf file do not seem to work with local publish. Does this link only work when uploaded to the net?

I have looked at most of the other posts and tried different things but nothing.

When I click on my link icon on my local publish, the bottom of my browser show the exact link to where my file is but nothing hapens.

The files are only text created with Adobe acrobat 8 pro and open fine when double clicked.

The link in web properties is: index_htm_files/registrationformsingleloosc.pdf and this is exactly where I have placed the PDF file registrationformsingleloosc.pdf

what am I missing? Can anyone help?

Can you post the domain or the actual link to the file?

    Hello Coastguard,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

The local publish and preview does not support previewing a pdf link.

Unless you have a web server running on your local PC and place your web file and it's subfolder in the path for the server.

Thumbs up Re: pdf links (again)

    Thanks for the help.

Thaught I was going loopy, but that was my thinking.

At least now I can sleep again, will check the links when the site is uploaded.

    Thanks again

    Just to confirm Bill's comments.
I have Abyss Web Server running under Windows Vista Ultimate to enable me to test web sites and scripts without uploading them to a remote server.
I also have PHP installed. It's worth the effort

This also allows me to export a XWD or Xtreme site with PDF links and test them too.
