    Default USS Essex viewed from East Trinity

    Taken a short time ago as the sun hit the ship by using a 300mm kit lens on a Nikon D80, tripod mounted and shutter on timer from East Trinity, 3.7km from the boat.

    Taken from about 1km away standing on top a white truck on the seawall around the property in the middle of the mangroves (home to the local 10 or so crocodiles).

    USS Tortuga traveled with the USS Essex to take part in Naval exercises next week (EXERCISE TALISMAN SABER 2009).
