Import from scanner or other twain source
XE-5 doesn't appear to have this feature - or am I missing something. It would be handy.
Can you either....
- Confirm it cant do it
- Tell me it can and make a fool of me!
- Tell me its on the 'roadmap'

Xtreme has never had an 'aquire' function.
Common amongst raster/bitmap editors, but not so much with vector apps.
However, depending on your scanner (TWAIN) software you can either:
[a] Set to open a scanned image with Xtreme
or
[b] Send scanned image to the Windows clipboard, then just paste into Xtreme
I know that both methods work well because I use them

TG member Dmitry wrote a small utility to use with many scanners which does option [b] above.

Thanks for your help Steve. Tried the microscan applet. Works a treat. I just need to put various resources together in one document for distribution as a PDF.
Sorry you lost the guy who is no longer in the 'target audience'. You win some - You lose some. I have on the other hand retired Serif, Corel, and Netobjects products and let Xara Xtreme do the lot. I used to be a codefreak but now I can't be arsed. If the finished product looks good does the end user really bother if it was hand coded or made using whatever.com version n.n
Im quite happy to put a Xara badge on any output we generate with the product.
Keep up the good releases and keep the development team close to us customers.
