Deleting graphics from Webstyle?

Can someone please explain in very simple terms how I can delete unwanted graphics from Webstyle2? Having used this for many years, I seem to have hundreds of unwanted graphics, but have not been able to discover how to get rid of them. Your help would be very much appreciated. Jan

I don't know how to do that. What I mean is that I've created and saved an awful lot of headers, buttons, etc., that I no longer need, and would like to get rid of. I just want to know how to delete them so they don't all show up every time I go to Xara Webstyle.

It has been many years since I used Webstyle2. I've had Webstyle4 since 2004.

Are the images you want to delete showing in your projects?

I think you can right click and select delete.

No, it didn't work. When I right clicked all I got was Create Style or Template Defaults. There must be some way of getting rid of graphics that are no longer wanted, it takes me ages to scroll through and find the one I want.

It seemed to work when I tried it from the Save panel, but when I went back to Search they were still there. The header at the top of the panel in Search is "Default(Project)\filename".

I'll look for my Webstyle 2 CD (it must be around here somewhere).

What version of Windows are you using? It may help me see how to provide an answer if I install on the same version.

Hi Jan,

In Webstyle 2 you can delete items using the Save dialog.

Use the dialogs navigation buttons to go into the folders where the graphics you want to delete are located. Right click an item and you should see a small popup offering a delete and a rename file option.

Thank you so much for trying to help me, Bill. As I said earlier, when I right click from the Save panel I can delete them, but then when I go into Search they are all still there, which means I have to plough through them all to find the one I want.

I sometimes feel like uninstalling and reinstalling Xara to get rid of them, but then of course I'd lose the ones I still want.

Over the years I've made many headings and buttons for my websites which are no longer used, and it would be such a help to me if I could get rid of those. I did contact Xara some years ago, but I couldn't understand their reply at all.

As you'll realise, I'm not at all technically minded, perhaps because I didn't start using a computer until I was over 60, but I enjoy making headers with Xara for my websites.

I didn't realise I could make Folders when saving (shows how stupid I am, doesn't it?) - so if I save any new graphics into specific Folders that will save me a lot of searching, won't it.
