    Default Pixel Snapping

Since Xara has become a web page creation tool, it seems that there needs to be some sort of pixel snapping in place when moving vector nodes so that you can be sure that everything is lined up properly and exports exactly correct and not have a node that ends up at .5 something causing the pixels to be rendered with an aliased edge. The only way to do this is to numerically type in the value which is a pain really.

Here is a more complete explanation:

You need to set up a grid, and ensure that 'snap to grid' is selected.

Utilities > Options > Grid and Ruler...

    Major Spacing: 1pix
    Subdivisions: 1

    Click [OK]

    Window > Snap to Grid

There is a button to toggle Snap to Grid, as Drwyd points out, on the Window control bar.

I don't think that these settings need to be 1 and 1. In my experience, as long as the value for Major Spacing can be divided by the value for Subdivisions and giving an integer as result, moved objects will be pixel aligned.

Note that some operations need the quality slider to be set to #3 (Full Colour) to avoid anti aliasing.

In the display, not the exported file, right? I ask this because this is what the help file says:
This slider (on the Standard control bar) affects how the document appears on the screen. It has no effect on the actual document or on printing.

I've not tried printing, but the quality slider does affect the export.
In other words, it exports at that quality.

    Question Re: Pixel Snapping

Indeed it does, although not with websites (even if you print them). Could someone from Xara give us an updated rundown of this feature please?
