Yes, it's much clearer and the key words seem to pop.

The card has definately been fine tuned with everyones help here.

The tel/fax seems to be showing as a creamy yellow color though and I can't seem to get it to change. I've added a little shadow to it and hopefully that helps.

Is it ok to use text shadows on business cards - does it print ok?

    UPDATE:

I've started a new thread for this questions.

    http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=40085

I am finally ready to upload for printing and have experienced a problem with the export process.

I followed the directions given in Xara Zone Workbook for printing but when I export (PDF X) it doesn't all show up. Then when I expand/decrease view size, it disappears.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so, would you please comment here?

    Thanks
    Doby

I can't open this correctly because you have fonts which are not on my system.
(Myriad Pro and Myriad Pro Black)

But what I can see is that your olive green (split) shape group is 'on top' rather than 'to back'.
This is hiding the text and part of the logo.

Also, any reason you have that shape split and grouped?
You can weld them using the 'Add Shape' command (Ctrl+1) then send to back.

When exporting, are you checking the box in the PDF export options to convert text to shapes?
(Though I recommend you convert text to shapes before export)

Anyhow - aside from not having your fonts (which ruins the layout for me) and after making the object position corrections, I can export to PDF/X1a fine where it displays at any zoom just fine.

    Thanks Sledger for your help.

I welded the shapes together and put to back
    I converted text to shapes
All but one part is coming through - here's pdf and updated file - maybe you can see where I've gone wrong.

Also, the PDF file goes blank after I try and adjust the size?!?!? Weird...)

Looks perfectly fine to me in FOXIT reader.
Nothing is blank and zooming in and out shows everything still in place.

Everything shoes up except for the tag "For the Experience..." line on the lower banner in my pdf.

    You're pdf shows it fine?!?!?

No I have to redo it without the bleed lines as I plan on using VistaPrint and they don't ask for bleed lines...

I'll see what I come up with and up later...

I couldn't get it until I selected the brown banner with the tagline and used "ctrl 4".

    It then worked.

I obviously have alot to learn before I up to be printed.

Thanks once again for your help.

    Hi Doby,
Why don't you use a local print shop. There you can take along your memory stick show your file and discuss with them and I bet you 10 cents to a dollar that they will not be much more expensive than the online shop. That way when you want some stationary you will not have to jump through all of these hoops they will just print it. Just think if you want to send out invoices, receipts, quotes, 2 sided and tri sided brochures they have your info and style already a simple job and it is not great hassle to get a soft print to see what you card is like it will only cost you about $2. I have done quite a lot of freelance jobs in my time and I have found the online method cheaper but less reliable while the service I get from my local print shop is great and when something goes wrong you know who you can vent your feelings at. The online method requires you to send the stuff back when they make a mistake or careless in there cutting and it is seldom that you get the return postage money returned to you.
    Design is thinking made visual.

Thanks Albacore, you make a good point and I think that is the better way to go.
