    Default To Upgrade or not?

Hi all, I have Xtreme 4.0 pro now. I have a website that I run using frontpage. I am looking to get rid of frontpage and get a new web developing program to work on it and publish it. The question is: Should I upgrade to the new 5.0 pro or keep what I have and just buy the Xara webdesigner? Is there anything the WebDesigner has that 5.0 pro doesnt have?
    Thanks for any advice,
    Mike

    Hey Mike,

Xtreme Pro 5 has much more functionality than Web designer, and it is an improvement on Xtreme Pro 4.

I think it goes like this. XWD is a subset of XX5 which is a subset of XXP5.

    Hope that helps,

I had xara 3.2 and XWD 5 and now upgrade it xara 5, for me I have both product in one and I can install it the other soft on my kid pc and he can work with older program for his art work. having both program in one is good plus with many new features is good .

but unfortunately no any form builder integrated.

    True.

However there are ways around it. Just do a search for Forms in the Web Designer Forum to find the work-a-rounds (using placeholders). And in the mean time we can always hope that the multiple requests for forms in all of the software tools will be not only heard (which I believe they have been) but also implemented in the next release or version.

Have fun with your new software when you buy it. I know that I have been having lots of fun.

Frontpage is very different and also no longer offered by Microsoft. The last version was released in 2003.

I did a quick intro video on what I consider to be one of xxtremePro5's greatest new features - the object gallery - check it out here if you are interested: www.technicalrs.com/XaraStuff
