Yes - wonder if there is a program that does it all "perfectly".

I have, and the results do appear to be remarkably accurate, but their pricing model doesn't warrant me using their service when I already have three Bitmap Trace applications on my computer. Their B/W trace was comparable to the excellent results I get with Inkscape.

+1 VectorMagic is to me simply the best tracer (by far) out there. It can be a bit slow and comes with a heavy price tag for the desktop edition.
