scrollable text box

Hi

I would like to put a scrollable text box on the home page of the site I'm working on. The object is to be able to enter news snippets, with the most recent text showing in the box, and the rest accessible with a scroll bar.

Any thoughts how I could achieve this?

I suggest a scrollable iframe in a placeholder.

iframes have been discussed many times at TG, so it should be easy to find further help via a site search.
