    Hi

I'm only a beginner with Flash and I can't solve the following:

I have set up buttons in my movie, and although they work in a browser (ie you can actually get to the next URL with them), they don't show the Over, Hit and Down states like they do in Flash, also the mouse doesn't change to a timer after they have been pressed.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks a lot

...this may be a silly question, but have you keyframed the over, down and hit states?
failing that, when you dragged the button to the stage, did you right-click (cmd-click on a mac) on the symbol and select the properties? in the first tab there's a selection on how to treat the symbol - make sure it's set to treating it like a button.

    Hi Deep

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have created
keyframes for the up, hit, over and down states (they show when I go in to edit the button from the library - is this what you mean?). The properties also show that they are definitely buttons.

So I'm still stuck...any more thoughts?

    thanks
