    Default Bubbly

Hi, I usually use Xara for signs and plaques and then cutting them out with a CNC router. I have been tricked by a family member into trying to do a small Flash animation. I verge on the artistically challenged. I need bubbles coming out from the top of a text letter in 1 or 2 streams. Can anybody please help and point me in the right direction?

    Hi Jono,
There are a number of ways of doing it.
You could experiment with any of the Xara flash tutorials and then upload your attempts to the forum where we can guide you if necessary.

Hey that's looks good Javier. I'm glad I looked at it, at first I wasn't going to bother since you didn't display it in-line.

Create a sphere and make it look like a bubble and your letter, name each and then do a flash animation of the bubbles you created.

Clone as many bubbles as you need, vary the sizes, and position them where you need them.

Here is a very good tutorial on making spheres.

If you search this forum you will find many tips and tricks and images that will give you some ideas on how to accomplish your goal.

I made this quick sample for you. It sort of gives you the idea; I think you can do much better.

You have to make the 1st frame with the buble in its first position and name that bubble as for instance bubble1.
copy the frame and move, resize , etc the bubble where you dessire.
    That's all

If I were you I use a bitmap of the bubble instead of a shape

    Hi Javier,
    Why bitmaps? Just curious.

    the message was for jono.

    About bitmap,

I'd made a bubble in xara and then instead of using it as a shape I'd made a bitmap copy of it and use it instead, in this way the bubble doesn't suffer any distortion.

Once more thank you for your replys. I understand the methods and mechanics for making the flash file, naming, and moving, that bits OK. The problem that I have is my inabilityto make the bubble stream look realistic, as though they are pouring out from the top of the letter(its more of the lack of my artistic grasp of the animation). The bubbles themselves do not have to be detailed, maybe only outlines.
