Thread: Page Size Query

    Default Page Size Query

    Hello,

I have made a website which looks great on my monitor in 1024 x 768. However the site looks really small on a new 17" laptop with a much higher wide screen resolution. Is there a way to make the page size adapt to whatever the resolution is that the viewer is using so it doesnt look like a tiny site in the middle of the page on a much higher resolution system?

    Thanks

    Martin

    Hi Megaman

I think the short answer to that is probably no due to the way that XWD uses absolute positioning in its generated code.

see the discussions here http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthre...=liquid+layout and here http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthre...t=layout+width

Getting your design to look good on a 800x600 screen and on a wide screen is a difficult task.

thanks for the reply. I wonder if it is possible to create a script that detects screen resolution and then shows a site based on that. I could work on a site for 1024x768 and one for 1280x1024 for example and save them in different folders so www.mydomain.com/size1 =1024x768 and www.mydomain.com/size2 = other resolution i choose... just a thought for a small site... obviously no good with large sites due to duplication...

    thanks

Yes. There is such a tweak in the tweakset.
