I know we can create our own brushes, and I've done a few of my own. However, is there a way to create strokes?

CD9 has several strokes that consist of a single .cmx image that contorts to the path of an existing line. I'm curious if that kind of capability exists with Xara.

(still no CD here in Texas. Here that sound? It's me opening my mailbox every 30 seconds looking for that evasive CD.)

If there is I haven't found it. From your comments I assume you have already tried the brushes to get effects like the following,

Tony, yeah... I've already tried the brushes and can get those effects. Attached is a rough example of what I'm talking about.

Joroho, I was afraid you might mean that! I think AI9 calls them Art brushes.

Yes Ivan, the illustration is of brushes consisting of tiny rounded rectangles, some of them transparent. If you know the approximate lingth of line I gues you ought to be able to add a head and a tail

    regards

I have got a miraculous fishing with your trick!!!

The "dummy" invisible objects might not be larger than the largest of the visible ones, otherwise all will be too far apart.

    Thanks very much !!!
