Larry,

You should be able to open the XPR or EPS file without going to FILE NEW. At least you got something to open.

Doing fills is different. The transform tool will let you rotate and resize by dragging the handles. There is a commit transform too. I'll have to see how to use it. Fills tile out from the bottom left corner.

E3 was designed at 72 DPI. I remember in the MS betas that different resolutions would get scaled when loaded. I'll have to look at E3 to make sure.

I tried those things, but the handles change or rotate the entire object but not the fill. I'll keep working on it.

Larry,

You need to use the fill transform tool. It is with the selection tool. Just click on the tool to cycle through additional tools. It is somewhat limited. There were very few changes since E1.

The shift key will constrain the resize of an object.
