Password Not Allowed when publishing?

Hello, I am new here and I have a question about Xara web designer. I am trying to publish my site and it is telling me that my FTP password is not allowed. I know I am using the correct password because I can log in with it just fine at my FTP site.
I am using Windows Vista. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Welcome to the Web Designer Forum.

This does not sound right.

Some programs will restrict your password to certain characters but this is not the case in Web Designer.

Can you post a screen capture of your error message?

Are you sure you're uploading into the correct folder (see Web Properties, Publish tab, Sub-folder (optional)?
