Unable to link text in text box

I am using a text box from the Gallery and want to link specific words to Pages and external URLs. I can do this easily in a standard text area but in the Gallery text box the entire box seems to be linked.

Is this, as I suspect, a bug, or is there a workaround, please?

Gallery "Text Panels" section, if it's what you are referring to, contains grouped objects. All the text is exported as a single image. As a result it can't have links applied to separate words etc.
To be able to do this, simply ungroup them.

Could you not just put a transparent rectangle over the text in question and make it linkable.

If you use a 99.5% transparent rectangle over the words in the text you want to make a link will work Ishkey. However it will not give the underlined or text colour many people associate with a link. People would not know that a link exists in the text unless they move their cursor over each word.

True but some links speak for themselfs ie.,

More and more sites are getting away from color changes let alone underlines.

Very true Ishkey, I even use links without underline and colour.

I often include information in my posts for the general membership. It often will help preclude many questions, for instance "Why doesn't my link appear in my page when I followed Ishkey's transparent rectangle tip?"
