    I purchased both of my Xara products from the Xara Reseller & Distributor for the USA & Canada. (See post #2 in this thread.)

    Albert's customer service is above and beyond what I expected. Both were excellent transactions - fast and easy. I highly recommend him.

    Thank you, Callie; that's very kind of you.

    Like Sledger, I too had contacted Xara England about the fact the placing orders on xara.com was apparently causing problems in some cases.

    And I've just received an email back telling me that they've asked the shop guys from Magix (= the company that bought Xara in 2007) to look into this.

    If and when I receive more info on the matter from them, I will update this thread.

    I can confirm that no purchase for Web Designer has gone thru. The Magix shop developers have been struggling with this problem of the 'catalog being updated' message for the last few days (nothing is actually being updated), part of the problem being that it is only affecting a small percentage of people and it's proved hard to replicate. Although they are not convinced it's fixed I have had a few people report that it works for them now when it didn't work before, so it might be worth another try now.

    The offer has been extended until the end of tomorrow, Wednesday. If it looks like some people are still having this problem we will extend it again. Please could you let me know if you do suceed in purchasing.

    While it does sound like something is going screwy at Magix Webshop, TG isn't the place for this kind of support, it's best to wait for Xara /Magix to sort it out.
    (This is mentioned in the Forum Rules)
    Meanwhile if Albert can assist USA and Canada purchasers beat the deadline then this might be your answer right now.

    The latest information given to me from Xara UK is that plenty of sales are going through and that it seems either a problem with a particular card, or perhaps a random load issue.
