    Hi Graphics2009,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

See the June 2008 Xara Outsider Newletter tutorial http://site.xara.com/news/june08/tutorial.asp

The tutorials explains in detail how to achieve the effect you want.

You would need to manually create an animation. There is no automatically created animations in Xara Xtreme.

    Start a new animation document.

Create your 3D photo and reflection as described in the tutorial.

Add a new frame then recreate your 3D photo and reflection at a slightly different angle. Repeat until you have all the frames needed to simulate a 360° rotation.

If I had to make that I'd use Xara3D to make every frame, copy one at a time and past them over xara extreme.
Then I'd take every frame, and make the refletion in one frame, apply the corresponding transparencie and copy its atributes.
Then I'd take the rest of frames, make the reflection and apply the attributes previously copied.
    I'm uploading a gif with 3 frames.

oops, I think thread doesn't work with animated gif.
I'm uloading the xar file, if you press the preview all frames button you'll see the animation.

Another way to do it is to use 2 cd cases vertically and a texture vertically flipped. Then import into XX and apply a white overlay with a linear transparency to the bottom on every layer.

Here's a couple of files to mess with.

Here's one using a similar X3D file but exported as a bitmap swf and the lower transparency added in Flash.
