    Default IE 8 display problem

    Hi,

I'm developing a site for a client which displays fine under Firefox and all IE browsers except IE 8. The bottom of the home page has text underneath the scrolling picture object.

    Anyone know of a workaround?

The test site is at: http://tr.qcliving.com/

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,

Am I missing something? FireFox and IE8 both look the same on my machine.

    Hi Soquili,

Wow. Apparently there's some setting within IE 8 that controls this, then.

The user swore that there was no text below the image scroll bar. She's pretty competent so I have to believe her.

    Hm.....

    Thanks much!

Ben - I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem but I note that WYSIWYG isn't supported if the browser has been set to have text display at the non-default size. Perhaps your friend's browser has been set to display either larger or smaller fonts? The browser 'zoom' levels work fine but non-default text display do not.

    Hi Ross,

She called a few minutes ago and found the issue...she had 'Check for newer versions of stored web pages' set to Never. Not good. It's now set to 'every time I visit the page'.

    Thanks for the help!
