    Default WYSIWYG not for me!

I have used Xara successfully for a number of sites but in this one I am having trouble. I am using templates from the Broker theme and the page I can show originally had pictures but I've removed them to try to sort out the mess.

If I take the text to the almost full width when published it runs off the edge.

This is how it now looks under construction:

Name:	22.jpg
Views:	273
Size:	49.2 KB
ID:	59646

and this is the preview (and it looks the same when exported):

Name:	20.jpg
Views:	271
Size:	51.3 KB
ID:	59647

I have set text margins etc etc but it just does not work.

    What now?

As you can see in your two screen shots, the text is not WYSIWYG. This is probably because you resized the text box in the selector tool with the aspect ratio button unlocked. When you preview/export your page, the text is shown in a regular, 'non-squeezed' size as required by browsers.

So, if you want to resize a text box, do so in text tool mode.

You have resized your text block horizontally without preserving proportions.
HTML does not support text aspect ratio control so it is rendered incorrectly in the browser. Here are some threads with this problem discussed:

    Thank you Boy & Covoxer

I understand now what I am doing wrong. I have always written in straight html and in recent years using a lot of css. But xara just blows me away. I bought the graphics for my son a couple of years ago and realised it was brilliant but the brilliance of Xara Web Designer is amazing - it just takes a bit of learning.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Trevor,

It seems you have registered twice at TG.
Could you please indicate which one you plan to use and I'll remove the other.
    Thanks..
