Question brochure on A4 or A3?

    Hi Everyone,

For a foundation I am member of I have to make the yearly report. The report is about 8 pages of A4 including the back and frontside. Now I am wondering what page format to use in Xara. 8 x A4 or 4x A3. I think the printer will finally use A3 paper to print it and I'll will have to deliver a PDf file.

Does any of you have experience with it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Frits

Ask your printer what he wants!

Ask printer guys, but I prefer to do layout for the spread from the start -- you can see how pages fit each other. And when I give final pdf to print, they don't have any questions how to deal with your single pages...

Like Alex states do the layout yourself. Most printers in Europe use SAR3 (450 x 320) or in the States I think that they use A3+ (13" x 19") but as everyone is saying to you talk to your printer.
    Design is thinking made visual.
