Default Drag objects in clipart window

    Dear Xara,

It would be nice if we could drag objects in the clipart window to save them for further use.

Having a 'live text search' would be quite useful also. For instance typing 'an' would filter "fans", "animals", "bananas", etc

    Regards,

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

You can add your own folders to the Clipart Gallery with your files. This maintains the integrity of the default clipart folders and your own creations.

Save a copy of your file with the objects you want to use for clipart. Open the Clipart Gallery and click the Disc clipart... button. Navigate to where your folder and click Add.

There is already a text search feature for the Clipart Gallery.

Open the Clipart Gallery and click the Options button. Select Find. As per your example if you type 'an' and click find it will find any file with those letters in the filename.

Hi Bill, thanks for the tip! I was suggesting improvements with the clipart gallery behavior. I figured it would be much simpler to drag objects to a folder...

For the 'live search' again it would be an improvement, a kind of textbox that would automatically filter out non-corresponding files 'as you type'. (I will try post an example animation when I find time)

this kind of search would be very useful also in the name gallery and the keyboard-shortcuts window, sometimes I have a hard time finding commands in it. I know Cinema 4d r11 have this kind of tool in the command manager and the object manager.

    Regards,

    Marc

Ok, found a video that's very similiar to what I meant for a 'live search':

(It is from a file explorer addon for xp)
