Nudging an object

Forgive me if this is in a FAQ somewhere but I couldn't find it.

According to Xara WD's 'Help' index it should be possible to nudge the position of any object by selecting it and using my keyboard's arrow keys. However, this simply doesn't work for me. I can move an object by dragging it with my mouse - but not by using the keyboard. Have I missed something

Is the picture highlighted? Is it surrounded by 4 black squares? Are you sure the layer isn't locked? You should be able to move anything highlighted by using the cursor keys. Also pressing Crtl+arrow keys will 'nudge' by bigger steps.

Ah, I realised what it was. Nudging works with the arrow key cluster but not with the arrow keys on the numeric keypad (in my experience, these normally perform the same function when NUM LOCK is de-selected).
