upgraded to Xtreme4, update not connecting

i made sure firewall is allowing it, it says it cant connect to xara.com when i click on help> update

Is your browser something other than Internet Explorer? I was having the identical problem with Firefox as my primary browser. But Xara works through IE -- at least on Windows XP -- and my IE Tools > Connections > LAN Settings was set to use a proxy server when none was available. After clearing that check box, Xara connected properly.

firefox. did what you said and its still not working... how strange. any help can be good... maybe its just because im just using the download version until the package comes in?

have you tried downloading clipart and fills ['get clipart'/'get fills' buttons in galleries] - does this work

the version of xtreme should not make a difference AFAIK
