IMPORT WEB is NOT an option? other XARA progs that work with WD ???

Sorry to say It appears there is not a way to import a site
that I have found (granted Very new to WD 1 day)
Please correct me if I am wrong.
I also notice what seems to be a lack of interoperability
with Other XARA products As in Plugins offered for frontpage
Does any one have a list of WHAT Xara programs work
with WD which don't and any work around ?
I am not knocking it but it seems the WD is something
brought into XARA and not really deisgned with XARA
interoperability. TRUE?

I find all the Xara software works just fine with Web Designer, just drag and drop or copy and paste.
Any graphics that use a lot of plug-in effects can be saved as jpegs then just import into Web Designer.

Actually Web Designer and Xtreme work very well together. Xtreme has a variety of tools that WD lacks, such as Contour and Bevel and Extrude. Most objects created with these tools can be brought into Web Designer with a simple copy and paste.

Web Designer cannot import an actual website or web page. However you can use the File > Import Graphics from the Web and import all the images on an existing web page. Once you have the graphics you can re-purpose them in Web Designer.

There is no plug in for Front Page because why would you need it? Web Designer is so much better than Front Page.

What I meant was the interoperability with FP ie insert
webstyle menu maker etc.

MAYBE this is here in WD just have not found it

Web Designer is not like Webstyle or MenuMaker. There is no plugin to make it work with Frontpage or any other web creation software.

Web Designer is a stand alone WYSIWYG web site design application. You can create your graphics, banners, or animation within the program or import images. Create the layout of the page and export to website all within the application.

I guess that is the point I was trying to clarify
Although a XARA product it does not share the
same INSERT - PLUGIN that is afforded to FP
Where other XARA products become useable
within the web authoring environment.

Stupid ME been using so many different Xara
products that play well together Just thought it
would be a given that it would work with the rest

very helpful in understanding how wd treats addins etc.
I still think though that it would be A much more viable product if all the other XARA
product could be called from an insert "plugin" as in FP
