First Web Designer use: import webstyle page

I have just purchased and set up Web Designer. My immediate need was to work on a menu page that I had developed with webstyle on a previous computer.

I had hoped to be able to simply open the old page and see the menu buttons etc. in Web Designer. No such luck. No sign of any buttons.

The page contains the code:

<script webstyle4="" src="images/XARA/Secret/links.js"></script>

I have confirmed that I have the folder images/XARA/Secret/ and all needed files.

So what do I have to do to this page to be able to work on it in Web Designer?

Hi gmz,

Welcome to Talkgraphics.

You cannot work on Webstyle projects within Web Designer.

You can use a Webstyle created navbar or menu in your Web Designer created page(s).

You will need to create a placeholder object, for example a rectangle, and use the Web Properties dialog to assign placeholder properties to call the javascript for the navbar/menu.

You will also need to export your website to your hard drive then copy the Webstyle created images and javascript to the folder you selected for the export.
