    Had to try this too. I had a horse when I was young and I drew her all the time. This is from memory.

    The muzzle area is too big and the jaw too square and short but no deleting, right?

    And just for grins I did this with my tablet and piece of paper taped to it. Really works pretty good but I have to rest my hand on the tablet. I can't hold it up like Handrawn suggests.

    im liking those sketches...
    N.B instead of deleting you can do a preliminary scribble in light grey then go a bit darker once the proportions are down.....

    I hated digital sketching when I first started - I still prefer the pencil and ink bottle, but a lot of that is because I need to see all the drawing clearly at once, full size; and because I think the line looks better reduced - but that's like as not a matter of opinion I am sure...

    yeah thanks...
    i tried quickly to do a second one the other night and shortly there after deleted it in disgust....(twas appalling...)

    Oh i feel i simply must post up my second ever finished xara design...
    I was busily beavering away at something else and my daughter insisted that i draw sponge bob square pants!
    P.S. I think im improving
