    Default Published but?

Built simple site, tested it, published it.

Took several minutes to upload and all went fine but when I go to the site the old page comes up. Refreshed my page and still old page. ?

I used all the same login info I used with Filezilla and WWD. In both cases, when I upload the change is immediate.

Tried to upload the XWD file but it must be too big - never finished "waiting on TalkGraphics." - jb

Can you at least provide us the URL of your uploaded page?

    Hi Jim,

Can you give us your site URL?

The attachment limit for a .web file is 10mb by the way.

    Hi Jeb,

I had a similar problem. My old page was index.html and the new page from Web Designer was index.htm. The server would always send the html file. I renamed that file to index.old and the new page is now shown.

Yep, same problem as Bill. HTML trumps HTM. Make sure you replace or delete the HTM file or whichever index file you are not using.

    The url is - www.floridacommunitynews.com

I went up with Filezilla to delete everything that is on the site and re-upload but for some reason can't get into it - is not taking the username/password.

Will check with StartLogic to see what is going on.

Yes, you have a "index.html" that was not created by WD. Remove it and upload your site again.

Tks, John - I had StartLogic send me a new password but it will be sent to my partners email. She is out of the country so may be a while before I can get back into the site.

John, would you believe it has taken me this long to get the mess straight with StartLogic?

They changed their password setup since I had been up on the site so my old one did not work. Had them send me a new one then spent all this time on "chat" with "nancy" with me repeatedly telling her that the the one they sent didn't work and she repeatedly telling me I had to use a "&" or "*" in the password and me repeatedly asking her WHERE I put them and why that was not in what they sent or in the email!!!! (Sometimes, do you ever want to shoot someone?)

Now, went up, deleted everything off the server and re-published via XWD.

I now get the " this site not found" message and code - HTTP 404 - File not found.

What to try next - after a break and something to eat?

Problem solved - when I deleted everything off the server I should have left the public folder there.

XWD didn't find it so the files that would have gone into that folder were loaded under the root folder.
