    has to be said, the stem is a bit wimpish

    but I like the flower a lot, very nice

    Alternative version with feathering removed as I think its was too soft. Though the jpeg made it look softer still.
    steve: not sure about the stem, started as a simple, single wavey line.

    Might the poppy be a tad too big for it, though?

    the stem and the cloth must be distorted inside the glass
    the flower itself is too big for the composition
