Working as a Artdirector/designer and webdesigner.

I would love Xara WD and pay twice if it was just a bit more useful.
I hope you will give Xara pro the same functions.
This way it would be a one stop shop.

So far my biggest concerns:

There are hardly any tools when creating shapes.

Can hardly make a arrow with rounded corners.

No arrange options? Like arrange objects horizontal etc?

No, currentpage is highlighted button.
(minor gripe, I could add that myself)

The html is unreadable.
Why not make look better, than people could start using professionaly.

Flaws or just something I missed.
I imported a tiny tiling bitmap, but I can't find a way to make it tile pixelperfect.
Is it too tiny?

When working with web lots of graphic is based on tiles.
Its important that the function to tile is easy to make the tile have correct size.

Make sure it is pixel aligned.

No. It is intended. All layers are exported as visible except for rollover and popup layers. This was discussed on this forum in detail. But in short - when you work on your design you may hide some layers to make your work easier. If open html preview in a process, you don't need to turn them on and off again. Another reason is that in multipage design you may have some layers hidden on some pages and it's hard to make sure they are are all set correctly when you export entire site. This way you can be sure that you export correct pages no matter what you do with your layers visibility.

Patience...........the program will evolve. For now, I think Xara used good common sense marketing to those that want to design without code or as a rapid prototype tool. They didn't make any exaggerated claims.
