XWD to XaraPro4?

I thought you could open XWD .webs in XaraPro4; that non-compatible elements would trigger a warning, they would be stripped out, and the compatible elements would remain.

I tried cutting and pasting multiple objects on multiples layer and pasting into Pro4 ..and changing the .web extenion to .xar and opening in Pro4. Both methods crashed Pro4.

Importing the .web from within Pro4 didn't crash it, but didn't import anything either.

My objective was to open .web pages in PRO, set the visibilty of appropriate layers and used Pro to produce PDFs with layers.

Is this something that Xpro4 will be updated to handle in the near future?
