    Regarding that large number of keywords, in the past I've read that it was generally believed that it is better for search engine result optimization that it is better to limit yourself to a relatively small number of keywords. It is all about focus -- it makes sense that the search engines are likely to favour a page focused on the search term vs. one where the creator tries to be too inclusive. The implication is: it's better to create more pages, each with fairly specific content focus, than to create a page with many keywords and be relatively content poor.

    So Jim (Brandnewlife) is there any potential to create a page on each breed of chicken telling about their features, personalities, etc? Your site could become a great resource for anyone interested in the critters.

    A few years ago it was reported most search engines were ignoring keywords (Meta Data) because they were over used and people using keywords that did not fit their site.

    And as far as I know (but I've been wrong before) Meta Data keywords (as Bill said) are now useless for search engine optimisation. The Search Engines "apparently" rely on the content not the keywords.

    I truly believe that the first option is correct.

    It allows you to insert any code to the <head> element. Let me explain how to use it for keywords.
    1. Create simple rectangle anywhere on the page. It will not appear on the exported page.
    2. Give it following name: "<head>" (without quotes).
    3. Open Web Properties dialog (Ctrl+Shift+W). Go to Placeholder tab.
    4. Enter following text in the "Replace with HTML code" field:

    <meta name="keywords" content="word1, word2, word3"/>

    Where "word1, word2, word3" is your keywords list.

    Or, alternatively, open attached file, and copy the black rectangle to your page. Open it's placeholder properties and repleace "word1, word2, word3" with your keywords.

    Just to add a note to John's suggestion.

    There is no need for the keywords placeholder to be 'on the page'
    You can keep *this* placeholder on the pasteboard (grey area in WD), the code will still be exported to your page.
