    Default colouring jell buttons

Hello to everyone, I'm fairly new to Xara Xtreme & thought I'd start with something simple such as the gel Button as shown in the movie section, now, I've managed to get the button it's self off to a fine art but when I try to do, as in the movie & change the colour of the button with the pallet, instead of the button & all it's components changing colour together, the button just turns all blue\green\etc without the layers & shading changing with it.
Hope somebody can help with this.
    Cheers

    Dave.

The colours need to be named colours & shades of the named colours to adjust them in this manner.

Try the attached xar file, this may help you understand.

Do you understand how to change the attributes of a Named Color once it is created?

Welcome to the Xtreme Conference, Dave.

There is a short tutorial on Named Colors in Xara Xone Wrokbook 43. Have a look it might clear things up.

    Yes you've got it Dave.

    Nice rendring.

I attach an A4 Lanscape template I use, which has already got named colours (2) and shades thereof attached. I find it is often quicker to alter these named colours than create new ones.
