As for me, the previous behavior with .bak (one file per session) was pretty good. BAKs on every Ctrl-S is too much for me (I'd be OK with multisaving if Xara could automatically delete all BAKs except the last one). But for now I had to turn backup off... And lost a few hours of work )

I know this is a 'dear Xara' forum and thread but I'm really curious how you use a .bak file. My Vue6I makes them and sometimes they have more MBs than the Vue file does. Would you just rename them the extension of the mother program?

    Hi Nancy,

Yes you would rename the .bak file to the program's normal filename extension. For example .xar in the case of Xtreme.

I would strongly recommend anybody who has any fear whatsoever of losing partially completed work to use XaReg. It really does do what it says on the tin and I can't recommend it highly enough.
