problem with pdf import

Hi all,

I'm having problem with PDF again. This time however quite strange. I used to be able to import PDF into my Xara Pro here at work. It does not work anymore. Even when I create XAR and export it into PDF, e.g. preset "Commercial printing" option without any security options, even this PDF can not be imported back into Xara with following statement:
"That file is not recognised by any of the installed filters."

Strange also is that when I go to: File -> Import ...
and I check file types no "pdf" is there anymore ???

You may need to manually register the PDFImport.dll located in:
C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 4\Filters\PDFImport

If you are unfamiliar with the command line method, there is a freeware utility that can help you do this via a GUI. (requires a free activation code)

Command line method:
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 4\Filters\PDFImport\PDFImport.dll"

Thanks sledger. It seems to be the problem of this type to me as well. We had some access right problems on my pc in recent past and it may be that things were altered for Xara also. Unfortunately, I can not make suggested changes as I do not have administrator's privileges on this machine. I'll have to urge our administrator to look into this.
