Unhappy What you See is ALMOST what you Get ...

    Hello,

today I have discovered that in XWD "What You See Is ALMOST What You Get"

I have created a blank white page, and I have just added a Button bar from the clip library and I added a simple text box.
Here is how you see it in the XWD editor:

In the XWD preview you see exactly the same:

But then when I REALLY EXPORT the file and View it in IE 7 (or Firefox) the result is DIFFERENT

There is always a huge border on left. I need to have all the objects left aligned with the left border as I see in preview or editor !!

    - How can I move all the objects aligned to the left ?

    Any help ?

    Regards

Antimix - The pages are centered in browsers by default. Try resizing your browser window and see how it shifts. If you make your browser window the same size as your 'page' it will look just as you saw it in the browser.

If you really need it left aligned it can be done but you'll need to add some javascript coding. You can find the instructions in this thread: http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=36861

All WD designed pages are browser 'centered' by default.

The WD page (white page 'area') does not represent the top left corner of the browser window, only the top-left corner of the page 'area'.

The WD preview window is at it's default size (or size when last viewed). If you stretch the preview window horizontally, it will always open at that new size until you close Web Designer.

The amount of white space on the left of the browser window is relative to the size of the browser window when viewing your site.

Antimix -- I edited your posting to remove the unnecessary duplicate attachments you had included.

Further edit> I subsequently had to edit to re-establish the image links.

Or relative to the size that you create your page area to.
