More shapes

Dear Xara,

Please please please bring in more pre defined shapes for your programs!! Serif had this covered for years and yet in Xara there is a box, a sphere and a star only!!

Are you forgetting about the hexagons, octagons, decogons, etc.

But seriously, there are many shapes in the clipart gallery.

That's true. I think what RAMWolff was talking about was Quick Shapes. Xara only has stars, polygons, and ellipses at the moment, arguably the most commonly used shapes.

The ones in Serif DrawPlus have handles that can change certain aspects of the shape like corner roundness, number of sides, etc. I think there is even a smiley face that can be changed to a sad face by moving a slider.

I personally don't use quick shapes that often, but adding some more common shapes like arrows or flowers or comic dialog bubbles might be nice.

There is an entire folder of Arrows in the Clipart Gallery.

There are shapes scattered throughout the Clipart Gallery folders.

You could also create your own custom shapes and add a folder of them to the clip art gallery

Funny, I always forget about the Clipart Gallery because it's name is well.. clip art. I think of clip art as photos or "clipped" pieces of graphics to use, not quick shapes. I'll have to remember that.... if I can!! LOL

Rather than start a new thread I located this one, if it's OK. Question, is there a way to use or import a Photoshop shape .csh file into XaraPro5?
