Yes, my HP1220c also does tiling (the menu is slightly different to the one your screenshotted) but your 25 tiles still only indicates A3. The max mine will do is A2 (860 x 1213) using 3 X 3 (9 tiles).
So in fact mine will do more than A3! Thanks for forcing me to check that, I didn't know that! I've only had the thing for about 6 years! LOL

Whooooooooooah! That is well cool! I'm going to see if I can find an updated driver for mine that gives me that print range!

Another freeware poster creation app is Rasterbator
This was borne of the original Online Rasterbator which became so popular it bogged down their server.
You can vary the half-toning effect to get some really nice results.
