    Default tool-dependent InfoBar

It seems that some time after I reinstalled Xara (from a download – my CD gone), I’ve lost the tool-dependent InfoBars. So now when I activate any particular tool, the corresponding control bar doesn’t open and I can’t control the tool. I tried the knowledgebase and didn’t get anything on several searches. Anyone know how to get them back.

    could try menu:

    window > control bars
and check if infobar is ticked...

Open main menu Window/Control bars... dialog, and check 'Infobar' option.

Maybe it is undocked and "off screen"?

ah ..... then its I guess its hiding

reset button resets everything toolbarwise I think?

suppose you could try unticking infobar - restarting xtreme - reticking infobar, might restore it to default without the global reset? - there again it might not...
