    Bug How to Select

In Xtreme4 how can a string of text/fonts inside a grouped collection of text and graphics be selected in order to replace the font with a different font without ungrouping text and images? Is it possible?

Currently I have to change each font character, one at a time unless I ungroup. This becomes tedious. And ungrouping can affect objects on layers so when grouped again they wind up on different layers. I'm talking here about complex work with many grouped images and text.

So if there is no easy solution for this dilemma I suggest adding a feature to XX4, version 5 that allows this function.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I might not be fully understanding you John, but a string of text which is part of a group can be 'swipe' selected with the 'T'ext tool in order to change the font without needing to be un grouped.

Also, if you have objects on different layers which you then group, they are no longer on separate layers, so un grouping and regrouping will keep them where they were when you first grouped them.

    You can:
    * Drag across the text with the text tool.
    Or
    * Click in the text with the text tool then press Ctrl+A
    Or
    * Click in the text with the text tool then press Escape
    Or
    * In the Selector tool, Ctrl+Alt+click on the text and keep on doing that until the text object you want is selected.
