Hey here is the first drawing of mine that turned out semi-decent. What do you think?

Looks strikingly like the photo floating around the forum--sans clothes. You sure you didn't use the bitmap tracer? :-)

    Hello ThePrawn,

Thanks for the complement. Same shot used to draw the picture.

I took a little artistic license tho... She looks so good without the clothes...

John - I've never xara-drawn a person myself so I feel a little awkward passing on my comments. I find the highlights distracting. It may be that they are too white. That little criticsm made I do highly commend you for what you've achieved with such a intimidating project.

    Regards, Ross

And how did you create that funky background? Very groovy!

    Hi Ross,

Thanks to the comments and compliments. Looking at it again, the highlights are a bit ovewhelming I will tone em down and see if it is any better.

On the funky background, I just played around with some fractal fills/tranparencies. here is the .xar with just the background and shadow layers. The background is 3 rectangles each on it's own layer.

The shadow is a little more complex. I took the 3 rectangles, made a bitmap copy of them, then cut out the lady's silloette. I used this to develop the wall shadow.

    See .xar...

Sure does John! Oh and that background .xar looks very cool with just the shadow. Thanks for posting it - neato to see how you did it. (I'll have to use those alt-rainbow fills more often).

    Regards, Ross
