    Default Monkey Dash Boardgame Pieces

    Hello fellow Xara addicts.

I am currently gearing up to send my first boardgame, Monkey Dash, to manufacture and would value some opinions on the design of the playing pieces.

The game is set in a banana packing warehouse, where each player controls a Supervisor and a Monkey. The components are fairly small (33mm and 25mm respecively) and will be laser cut from MDF then sprayed in a single colour (either red or blue).

The miniatures should be easily recognisable as the characters that they portray, but must also be simple and stylish.

Below are the designs I have come up with so far. I am pretty happy with the Supervisor, but worry that the Monkey is not very monkey-like!

All thoughts and suggestions greatfully received.

The only thought I have on that is that it totally looks like a monkey to me. What's it called though? Monkeeple?

The only things I can think of that might help it look more like a monkey would be if the hand that's outstretched was holding something that looked like a banana, or if it looked like it's tail was curled around a branch and it was hanging upside down.

As a side note, is any of your production run going to find it's way across the pond? The quick description of it sounds interesting.
This signature would be seven words long if it was six words shorter.

I think the monkey looks great. I have no trouble recognizing the shape as a monkey.
    Good luck with the game.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

I have absolutely no problem with the monkey as it is. I was just wondering if the monkeys are always getting into things, should they look more curious, impishness or that they're ready to jump into some serious monkey business? And again, it may depend on the age group.
