Hi there,
Is there anyway to prevent XWD from creating a "New Blank Document" every time the program opens? Something like a Program Preferences option?

Make any page you want the default template and that's what you'll see.
When I start XWD I have the rulers show and got rid of the page shadow.

I was actually after no document at all, like the attachment screen shot.
I know I can just close it doc off when it loads, but if you dont have to
Personal preference more than anything, when you have a brain like mine, one less thing to do the better.
It would help to prevent me from being side-tracked on making something new, and actually doing what I initally set out to do.
If it can be done, it would be great.
Work flow for me. I'm in agreement with Danny.
Here's a link to a thread I started with the same request for Xtreme: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=35538
How about you move the page off the screen then save your template that way?
OR
Make the page size 48pix by 48pix (The smallest allowed)

Well in actual fact, it's the same, but it allows you to go straight to what you want to do.
What would be good if is when you opened Web Designer, is a intermediate screen, like in Webstyle, or a dialog box where you had a choice of opening either, "New Document", "New Animation" or "Open Existing Document".
Like I said before tho, it's just personal pref - To me it's faster with less distraction. I suppose it's like asking a kid to concentrate on their school work when you put a new toy on the same table ...... I just cant help myself to have a "play"
I honestly do have other suggestions that are merely a work-around for not having a document open.
But I think that I don't truly understand the challenge.
If you see a blank page, you can't focus on what you planned to do. You'll get distracted and start to play.
If you see no page at all. You'll stay completely focused on the task at hand and get right to work.
Not doubting you, just not really getting it.
Maybe there's a modification you can make to your shortcut.
John (Covoxer) might know of a way.
