    Simon,
Beautiful work. I'm one of those people Gary was refering to. I don't know when enough is enough or too much. Love the color contrasts in your drawings...

    Hi Simon,

On the moonlit sea... I would ad just a hint of blue to the water, and make the sky slightly darker. The water and the sky should almost be the same color at the horizon, the reflection shold deliniate the too...

    my 2 cents worth.

I like your london Fog... Cool... Simple yet poignent..

One of my earliest memories of living in America (I moved from Switzerland with my parents when I was 5) was a hot summer day in suburban Illinois - maybe in a supermarket car park? - and seeing a brand-new red Ford Mustang gleaming in the brilliant sunshine. About 10 years later (in England) I tried to recapture the experience with a silk-screen print, but it never looked quite right So I found a photo of one and here's the result. It doesn't look like anyone else's classic car drawings, does it?

    Simon,

I think you have found the right tool! Xara X gives you so many different avenues to explore... The more you dig in there, the more your will discover!

    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all your kind comments. You've given me the confidence to post more of my drawings (I'd previously thought they were too simple).

    This one's called "Cumulonimbus (Thunderhead)"

    Hi Simon,

Nice Hammond B3. Reminds me of the Church organ my mother used to have when I was a kid. Used to be directly under my bed, 1 floor down. Geesh, It used to cause some terrible hangovers (To be awakened at 5:30 in the morning by that monstrosity... After a saturday night of heavy carousing)

After I moved out, She would have me fix it every time I cam to visit.

BTW: Originally I was going to put " Nice organ there Simon" but thought better of it with this crew.

Please continue to post these!!! I am really enjoying them. Would really like to see you tackle some black and white squares like the OP art of the 60's.

Just for fun, here is a Hammond B3 organ that I created (along with 11 other classic keyboards) 4 years ago for my Vintage Keyboards Screensaver. It is based on photos from the Web and was drawn freehand rather than traced. All the woodgrain texture is XaraX fractal fills.

I'm not 100% happy with this one. The composition's right, but I think I need some help with the colours. Any suggestions?
