Save Customized GUI

Is there a way to save/backup my customized layout of XWD's GUI?

Use Regedit and export the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\WebDesigner\5.0\Ba rsNormal key to a .reg file.

If you paste this line into the Windows Run box, the key will be quickly backed up to a .reg file and saved to C:\ as a file named wdcustbars.reg

regedit /e C:\wdcustbars.reg HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\WebDesigner\5.0\Ba rsNormal

Please remove the space in 'Ba rsNormal' first

This will save you from entering the windows registry manually.

Thanks very much, guys! That makes it quite easy to restore my setup after a screwup or a reinstall. Yet, I wouldn't mind having a save option for customized settings within the program (e.g., "Options/Save Settings").

Yes - sigh, I agree, and this has been asked for many times. One day Xara might sneak it in an update

No Promises but I will look into saving the BarsNormal registry key from within XaReg.
